Richly illustrated catalogue from the exhibition of the same title. The publication is dedicated to the tragically deceased president of Poland, Prof. Lech Kaczyński. The photographs and text show the entire life of the president – scientist, social and political activist. Lech Kaczyński himself speaks to us from the pages of the catalogue thanks to the original statements and thoughts quoted there. The photos present him during important moments of his life, in his family surroundings, among workers, scientists, union and political activists.

Lech Kaczyński (1949–2010). Man of Solidarity” it is one of the first exhibitions organised by the Institute of Solidarity Heritage. When discussing how to commemorate Lech Kaczyński, we agreed that the best solution would be to organise an exhibition centred around his actual quotes and ideas. As a result, Lech Kaczyński himself speaks to us via the words comprising the panels of the exhibition and the pages of this catalogue. The major ideas of President Kaczyński presented here serve – or should serve – as an example of conscious, responsible and modern patriotism. They are a moral and ethical compass for all of us to follow. We feel empowered and grateful for this opportunity to contribute to the commemoration of Professor Lech Kaczyński, President of the Republic of Poland.
